Hazel – a session dubbel

Hazel is a Session Dubbel made with, you guessed it, hazelnuts! We wanted to create a beer with the distinct characteristics of roasted nuts that would be smooth and invigorating. After putting a lot of different nuts in our mouth we decide to er, use the um…   oh right, hazelnuts.

What’s Special About It

Many of Philadelphia’s streets were named after trees and the fruits they offer. Created at our former residence at the intersection of 48th and Hazel Ave, this Belgian-style Abbey Dubbel merges its innate dark malty sweetness with the nutty flavors and aromas of freshly roasted Hazelnuts.
